It has been a long wait, but Kid Cudi is finally back in Australia, and it looks like he is not planning to disappear again anytime soon. Following his return to the country for the first time in more than ten years, the rapper has teased that a full headline tour is already in the works.
Cudi touched down over the New Year and performed at Wildlands Festival and Beyond The Valley, two of the biggest events on the Australian festival calendar. After wrapping up the run, he took to Instagram on January 3 to talk about how special the trip had been, describing the shows across New Zealand and Australia as unforgettable.
He thanked fans for the insane energy, saying it meant everything to hear the crowd singing along to every track. Then he dropped the news everyone wanted to hear. He shared that he is already planning a proper tour down under and promised a show filled with major hits, deep cuts, and brand new songs.
Although there are no dates yet, the reaction from fans has been immediate. Many have waited years to finally see Kid Cudi bring a full show back to Australia, and his words suggest that wait might soon be over.
His festival run included Wildlands, which started in Brisbane before heading to Perth, and Beyond The Valley in Victoria, which just marked its tenth anniversary with a sold out crowd of 40,000 people. After his BTV set, Cudi posted another message online, calling the experience of welcoming in the New Year with Australian fans one of the best moments of his career.
With his connection to the crowd stronger than ever and plans already forming, all signs point to Kid Cudi returning very soon for the headline tour Australia has been hoping for.
